Stage One – Registering and Creating an Account
If you are not already registered with GatenbySanderson, you will need to create an account at www.gatenbysanderson.com by clicking the ‘Register’ button. Complete the details on the registration form and choose a password. Please note that your username is the email address you have provided. Keep these safe as you will need your account details to receive messages from us securely.
Once you have set up an account, you can log in at any time using your email address and the password you have created.
We’ll communicate with you throughout the process via notification messages in your account. We’ll send you emails to alert you to a new message, but you will need to login to your account to access it. Occasionally, these messages can go into your spam folder, so please check this regularly. This is to protect your privacy.
Stage Two – Availability for Interview
Preliminary interviews will be conducted by Microsoft Teams on week commencing 10th July.
Panel interviews will be conducted face to face on end of week commencing 31st July and will take place at the Ofwat office in London. Prior to this, GatenbySanderson will conduct a preliminary interview with all longlisted candidates.
Stage Three – How to Apply
Your application must consist of the following:
- A copy of your up to date CV.
- A supporting statement of no more than three pages explaining why you want this role and addressing the criteria in the Knowledge & Experience section of the Person Specification.
Stage Four – Equal Opportunities Monitoring
You will next be asked to complete an online Equal Opportunities monitoring form. Information provided will be treated as strictly confidential and held securely in line with data protection and other relevant legislation and will be used for monitoring purposes only.
Stage Five – Contact Information, Existing Commitments and References
In the ‘Apply’ section of the online process, we will also ask you to complete some additional online sections, including: full name and contact information; and names and contact details for two referees (please note we shall NOT approach these individuals without your prior consent, and referencing will take place for candidates progressed through to final panel interviews).
The closing date for receipt of applications is 12:00 UK on Monday 26th June. We strongly recommend that you allow enough time to complete and submit your application, as expressions of interest will NOT be accepted after this deadline.
Stage Six – Interview
Candidates will be asked to prepare a short presentation prior to interview on a topic shared with them in advance. This one-hour interview will be conducted in our London Office on week commencing 26th June.

Your application will be assessed against criteria in the Person Specification and the requirements for the post. It is important that you provide as much detail as possible and provide specific and detailed examples to demonstrate how you meet each criterion (including what you did to achieve a specific result).
You will be advised of the outcome of your application by e-mail.
